All participants start with 50 points per participating run
Gain points by how you “hit” the designated obstacles (rocks, boulders, etc.) laid out in the
course
Lose points for reversing, extended stopping, moving material for travel
These points are awarded for both front and rear tires, left and right side of vehicle. There will be obstacles
marked on both sides of the course, and tight turns involved to reach them.
+ 5 points if tire - hits, touches, rubs, or is partially on the obstacle.
+15 points only if full tire is significantly on the obstacle
- 15 points for reversing direction of travel through the course (ex.: backing up to try for a second chance
at an obstacle)
- 5 points for “extended stops” along the course (ex.: stopping over 1 minute to plot course)
We just want to keep things moving along at a reasonable pace to get everyone through.
-15 points Driver may exit vehicle to move material to aid travel if done in a timely manner.
-15 points for using jack . (for “stuck” situations, max usage 2)
-15 points for using winch (for “stuck” situations, max usage 2)
+25 points for completing the course.
Additional Spotter course points deductions
-15 points spotter out side vehicle (spotter must be in vehicle during travel through the course)
-15 points for moving material to aid in travel
You may exit course at any point you decide (or need to) and points will be tallied.
If vehicle is unable to continue under it’s own power the run is over, points tallied, and vehicle is
to be removed from the course however necessary .
If for any reason the officials feel you should be terminated from the course that decision is final (as are
all officials decisions)
In the event of a tie score, a decision off of pre-determined criteria by the officials will be made.
